Massimo Alba Film Production in Milan
A four-location film shoot in Milan, run in one day
Courage Production handled the film production in Milan for the Massimo Alba Yes Manifesto campaign, directed by Marco + Maria with DoP Timon De Graaf Boele. The shoot moved through four separate Milan locations in a single day: a cinema, a lamp shop, a recording studio and a private apartment.
Four locations in one day is a scheduling challenge before it is a creative one. Each location has its own load-in, lighting setup, permit window and wrap. Courage Production built the day around company moves between the four Milan spots, sequencing them so the unit moved in one direction across the city with no backtracking.
The locations came from a focused scouting effort. A working cinema, a lamp retailer, a functioning recording studio and a residential apartment are four different negotiation and access profiles. Courage Production scouted, secured and scheduled all four inside Milan, with the contracts and shooting windows aligned to a single production day.
The cast came off the street. Massimo Alba's Yes Manifesto called for real faces, not agency board talent, so Courage Production ran a street casting process in Milan to find them. Street casting is its own workflow, scouting people in the city, releasing rights, and scheduling non-professional talent around a tight shoot day.
This is the kind of multi-location day that defines film production in Milan. For the wider setup, see our film production in Milan and how Courage Production runs location scouting in Milan.
